Tires...255 vs 275!

So can anyone enlighten me on what is better!
I am going to run 9.5 width wheel this summer and I need some input on tire sizes.
I will be tracking quite often, maybe once a month this summer.(5-7 track days)
What is better? I am going to get me nitto nt05's.

Pros
255-no rubbing, no rolling needed, cheaper, no tire rolling.
275-wider, much more aggressive, higher corner speeds...
cons
255-can go wider, maybe a right fit for 9.5 but bit narrow?
275-needs fender rolling, tires might roll a bit on high speed, more expensive, slower straights...

anything more? Smike, I can use your input!
Thanks in advance
Ray

i would only add the additional weight of the 275 tires if you need to for traction reasons. it would also be more informative if you let us klnow what kind of power your making along with what other suspension mods, if any, you have.

The 255 are lighter, plus cheaper and because it doesn't require the rolling and what not. You'll be fine with those.

I just mounted my 10.5" RPF1's with 275/35 Sumitomo's and have noticed very minor rubbing at full lock left and right. Not enough rubbing to get excited about though, only happens in and out of parking spaces so far.

275's are heavier, have slower response, heat up slower, and most the time are no faster. Most fast time attackers run 265/35 or 255/40. I went with 255/40 because of pricing and availability. Also I would say it depends on what your springrates are, how much power you have, and what your cars weight is.

The only advantage I could see would be if you run something like 14k/16k and run alot of camber, and have over 500hp. Just my 2c though.

Well thanks for the replies guys.
I may just get 255s then. I know I don't have enough suspension muscle to fully handle 275s....though it would look pimpin

again thanks for your help
