Do you guys want to see a 18x9 Grid for the Evo 8/9? (similar style to the 18x9.5)
We recently released the Rota Grid in 18x9.5 +20 for the Evo X and also the Evo 8/9 (aggressive fitment due to limited caliper clearance). I've wanted to bring you guys some new wheels specifically for the Evo 8/9 that will perform well, look great, and not cost an arm and a leg
At the time of the 18x9.5 release, we also came out with a 18x8.5 model for various markets. We can use this existing mold to make a 18x9 +30 to +35 wheel for the Evo 8/9. This model still has concave which looks great and is also light weight at only 20 lbs
Here are some examples of the wheel, let me know if you guys would be interested in seeing these in 18x9 for the Evo Also let me know if you would prefer +30 or if you would want to go a bit higher in the +32 to +35 range. Pricing for the 18x9 model would be $900 shipped
Matte Bronze
Flat Black
Gold
Flat Black Red Lip
Royal Black

Matte Steel Grey

I'd love to see an 18x9 Grid with a concave face in the matte black or matte gunmetal

We already have these out and in stock for Evo X and aggressive 8/9 applications. The wheels are 18x9.5 +20, here's a preview of one of the wheels but please check here for more info

The 18x9 Grid will have concave but not as drastic as the 9.5" model. If we do make the 18x9 Grid model it will look identical to all the wheels posted in the first post.

It depends on interest, for the Evo 8/9 our customers usually prefer dark finishes like Gun Metallic, Flat Black, etc.. If we have more interest we will start stocking other wheels in Silver finishes. We did just special order the new 18x9.5 +20 Grid wheels in a Hyper Silver finish which will look amazing.
As always, for requesting new wheel finishes please check our Rota custom order thread here, this is where our Hyper Silver order originated from

I would love to pick up a set of 18x9s with the concave look.... as long as fender mods were not required even with a 255 tire.

I love the look of these wheels but I'm not committed to stepin up to 18's yet. Any chance of a 17x9 to fit the Evo, preferably around +28 to +30 offset? Assuming they would weigh less than the 20lb 18's they would be a great track wheel.

The problem with concave is the Evo 8/9 caliper has less room than the Evo X caliper (in terms of width). The 18x9.5 model in an offset higher than +24 will not clear 8/9 calipers. The 18x9 model if made will look identical to the images posted in the first post. We would make them in 18x9 +30 to +35 which will allow for 255/35/18 tires on stock fenders and no rubbing.

At this time we are not releasing the Grid in a wide 17" size. I do have a new 17x9 wheel out that is perfect for street/track use. This wheel is the Rota DPT and it only weighs 18 lbs in 17x9 fitments. These are 17x9 +35 and we have Matte Bronze in stock and ready to ship, Flat Black is incoming soon.

So are you saying the 18x9.5 +20 made for the Evo X will not fit an Evo 8/9?
