Just back on the roll centre (sorry a bit OT):
It's been stated that as long as your lower control arms are higher closer to the centre of the car then you are ok and have NOT lowered the car too much.
1) is there degrees of this? ie is 20deg down angle BETTER than 5deg down angle? (exaggerated...)
2) does this go for the REAR as well as the fronts? ie keep both sets of control arms with some down angle
3) (relating to #1) obviously this is for a static car, what about when you are on the track and IN ROLL?

Great thread guys I just sat and read through it all and there's a lot of good questions being asked and answered. I don't have much to add to the topic that hasn't already been said but I saw someone posted some suspension books before and I figured I could help out a little there. I've read most of those books in search of answers to these questions but the one I've found to be the best was Competition Car Suspension. The author does a great job of explaining just about all there is to know about suspensions.

My car is a car-icicle thanks to all the freezing rain, glad I don't have to drive to work...
Front 7.5in measured about 3 inches in from the front wheel and touching the seam weld.
Rear 8.25in measured about 3 inches forward from the rear wheel and touching the seam weld.

im going to check my rake tommorow - but i think its pretty uniform.
u know mitsu lowered the IX on the rear by 5 mm, compared to the 8 - this was to get the AYC to work better...
