Lowering Evo Dose It Help The Evos Handling

OK. I love the way the EVO handles now but im thinkin about gettin some coilovers just wanting to make sure im still gona like the way car handles. ANy info would be great.

just get the adjustable ones and you should love the ride no matter for what occasion.

i dont know about coilovers but i just put 18 inch GT-U's and tien s tech lowering springs on and it seems to almost be a tad looser feeling. now i havent had an alignment yet but im getting that done in like an hour. hopefully that fixes it. if anyone knows or has some info on this let me know. until then ill post up after the sears alignment. later

hey i got the hks hypermax coilovers on my mr but i bought it used with them on so i dont know how it feels stock but it handles like a champ right now and i love it

spring tech gets complicated.

But what you want is linear setup that's very stiff.

Also, you don't want to lower it too much without the supporting mods. I wouldn't lower the evo too much without upgrading the strut too (coilovers).

Then there are the camber setup and various bars that stiffens the car up.

The biggest part is, of course the driver.

Just learn how to drive better.

Stock evo's already a very good driving/suspension car.

depends on what setup u buy dont buy any basic setup 32 ways adj. only and make sure that the car is balanced even weight on each side. and anything besides that just make sure the if one has to be reworked for whatever reason you dont have to ship out the usa to get fixed good luck

those springs are supposedly not stiff enough for evo shocks..so therefore you handling is comprimised..people say the best springs are the tanabe gf210 because they are stiffer and once you lower the evo shocks past a certain point the stiffness helps support the shock better due to the fact that it is sitting lower than its normal position.

thanks for the info guys. Yea im lookin at gettin k sports or D2 deepenin on price and aswell as maybe getin new front and rear slower sway bars. Also im not lookin at lowering it that much just to take some of the wheelwell away give it a cleaner look and little less roll in the coners.
