First let's establish the meaning of "the best". Best for what? There are so many post on this forum asking "what is the best". Everything is a compromise and a trade off.

This is why I asked for the user to search and read, there are much newer and better threads on this subject.

I use the KDW2 by Bf Goodrich and they are sweeeeeet. they ran me 157 each for 245/40/17 good wet and dry traction, they look nice, not very loud, good tread life considering its a max summer tire.

I have a set of potenza re-01r's that are about to go at 15k miles. To me the difference between these and the advans, is that they are noticeably more grippy, as well as being much better at indicating their level of grip. With the advans I also noticed a lot of roll in hard cornering. I'm about to invest in a new set of Re-11's since the 01r's are out of production. I'd only ever go with a Bridgestone tire, they're the only tire F1 will use, so they're the only ones with experience on the super elite end. That's good enough reason for me.

1. Advan AD 07's and the new Advan AD08's
2. Toyo R1R's (This is the tire that come on the UK FQ400 Evo)
