stock tire question

WHen I bought my 03 evo with 9600 miles I noticed the outer tread on the front wheels is more worn than the middle area of the tire. But the rear tires are perfect. Could it have been driven hard or just an alignment issue?

its there probably from hard driving or autoXing. my guess is you are up for new shoes. The normal driving tread-life is not that long anyway, but someone had fun "cornering" that car!!

Hard cornering will wear the fronts out before the back, as this is the most weight on hard cornering is at. thats why there are bigger rotors in the front!!!

Personally I like the stock Advans. You should just be able to replace the fronts (all 4 if you can afford it). If the tires look really bad, I suggest rotating for now until you get your replacements.
