Just thought some of you would like to see how this came out.

I also ditched the cigg lighter, and changed it over to a more modern "powerpoint" style cap.

I was expecting to see your shifter removed and relocated!! Lol
Good job!
is that textured paint, or the surface is rough?

It's really not textured paint or a rough surface just extreme closeup of the photo.

Nice work. I've been thinking of doing something similar, but I would be removing the ashtray and moving the lighter/outlet to the center. What power outlet did you use? Or did you retain the stock outlet and just add a cap?

I changed the cap. I found a decent looking cap on a powerpoint for sale at a local autoparts chain for 7$. I had to slightly modify the factory lighter to get it to work, but it was not a problem. This was only so I could retain the OEM light up "ring" around it.

What did you use to modify the Shifter piece (bezel?) The double DIN that I want has two USB ports that I want to relocate to the ash tray location.

I hid mine in the ash tray.
