They'd kick it off the drag strip, and taking a show quality car of this value to the road course to be pelted by rocks is out of the question. I'd build a purpose built track car if I felt so inclined. I build street cars, not track cars.

Sounds like a plan.

So what was the purpose of building the car? To just show it off?

Not sure I'm clear as to your question. I build show quality street cars. And on a side note, we DROVE my Supra and this Evo to and from SEMA. No trailers at all....street cars, that drive on the street. As for taking it to SEMA for Dsport, I was asked, so I agreed. It certainly adds prestige and value to the car to be a SEMA display vehicle. I grew up in Chicago, lived there my whole life until the last few years. We street race....that's also what we do. I certainly don't hate on guys that take their cars to the tracks, but that's really not my thing. Sitting around for 6 hours to run 2 passes doesn't really appeal to me, I'm not putting roll cages in cars this clean, and I'm not a road coarse type of guy.

Question was just what you explained, what was the car built for. All the power, looks, etc.. You answered the question.

Have you been out to Spring Mountain? If not have Nils take you out there - you might change your mind.

It certainly looks like fun, I just don't want to abuse the paint on a show quality car doing it. If someone would like to volunteer a car....sure.

I think if you went for a ride along in someones car, like Nils car, you'd be buying a third evo just to drive the living hell out of it at the track. It's seriously good stuff, and both the Spring Mountain track and Reno Fernly are wicked fun. You should find some time to go check it out.

You can rattle can the third EVO flat black and put the money towards some JRZ 3 ways.
