Project: HippieKiller Mountain/TimeAttack EVO

Full blog with photos at www.TougeHero.com

I guess this is a build thread, not a lot of photos right now sorry, but I promise I will have a ton more.

Basically I use to run a formula car in SCCA and it was putting me in the poor house, plus I was getting sick of looking at it sit in the garage 95% of the time. I wanted something I could run in the mountains 2-3 times a week and at the track 1-2 times a month. So I sold the F-car and ended up picking up a super clean rolling evo 8 from stew, a fellow evom member.

Instead of going the easy way I decided to put a evo IX engine in the evo VIII chassis.

Nick the man at DTM is doing the complete install, so once it's finished I promise to post up more photos and dyno sheets!!

Down the road will have video also.

Car specs (I am sure I am missing a ton):

If that build is cheaper, I could only imagine how expensive it was to run your F car!

Wow thats such a nice build. I have contemplated selling my IX MR to get a VIII shell to do a road race build on. That does cost alot of $$$. I bet you are already well over the 45k mark.

I read every page on your BLOG and have subscribed to this thread. Great work and I can't wait to see more photos and read more updates.

It would be great if you could get some chassis pics up too. Lots of parts pics but nothing to be seen of the actual car itself apart from when you picked it up.

Keep up the great work!

I would return the BR cop set up and go with the spark tech cop set up. much better product. esp for long term road course. plus sparktech is coming out with a m&w pro 14 box. which has 4 dedicated wires, vs 2 that splits to 4 like the BR one.

just trying to help you out
