Harness Help Please

Hey guys I have a Autopower Race Roll bar on order for my car and am looking at getting some harnesses. Can someone please tell me some other brands besides Takata and Sparco. I'm looking for 5-point set ups.

Also if I was to get the Takata ones do I need the long or short versions???

Also if this in the wrong forum sorry.

Can someone please tell me if the short version of the Takata MPH304 will work with a roll bar? I have a friend willing to sell me a set for a real good price.

5 Points are kinda uncomfortable unless you:

Have a vagina
Have small *****

Get a nice 6 point. Schroth is really the best you can buy, Takata is a waste of money unless you want to blow 500$ on a JAY DEE EM 6 point . Also on a budget G-Force is really nice. Also don't half *** the install, get a non-reclinable bucket seat and drill the floor.

teamtech jet pilot harness

I just ordered a set of teamtech jet pilot harnesses. They qualify as a six point harness although they only attach to 4 points to the car. These have been used in NASA spec miata series and by Bobby Archer racing. Unbelieveably comfortable and snug.

I cannot speak enough about their build quality. I spent a fortune on them (415 ea. I think they can be had for cheaper?) but they are totally worth it and they save me from either paying someone to modify my seats or to buy new seats period.

The pads are already sewn into them. I figured if I were to spend 250-300 on sabelts or schroths plus 30-50 for pads plus modifying or buying new seats I made the right choice dollar wise.

But after seeing them in person, I definitely made the right choice regardless of price! email me if you'd like some pics. In the meantime check out teamtechmotorsports.com

I think Corbeau makes harnesses as well, although personally I'd go Schroth.

Well what price range are you looking at? Have you considered 6 point? What are you using it for?

Check out the Profi II. The advantage of the Profi II is the 2" lapbelt, which is perfectly legal for all racing divisions. The belt is not only more comfortable, but you can position it at a much more optimum place and is actually safer. They come with snap in ends which are cool for the off season because they can be taken out in a few seconds and a camlock (latch and link are junk).

If you have any questions, call the guys at HMS Motorsport (www.hmsmotorsport.com) (USA Schroth Distributer). Ask for Matt or Joe, they are awesome and can answer any questions.
