ok.. so after we finished the wing.. we decided to get the fenders rolled so we can lower the car a bit more at the same time it will allow us to run wider and meaner tires.

Since we bought a fender rolling tool to tackle this job, this should be fairly easy to tackle. My partner Devin took the matter into his own hands and demonstrated how its done. Enjoy!

1) This is what a fender rolling tool looks like.


2) Here is a picture of a fender roller mounted onto the axle-hub.


3) You want to start rolling by pressing the roller on the edge of the inner fender.


4) Use a heat gun to soften the clear coat and paint.. this way you won't crack the paint too much while rolling.


5) Gently rolling the inner fender back and forth.. be precise.. don't panic!


6) Repeat the above procedures until you are satisified with the result. flatter the better.

7) Viola! smooth and clean! Now we put more aggressive size/offset wheels and adjust the suspension even lower.

question about rolling a fender:

doesn't it still rub the inner wall? it just doesn't cut? the tire won't warp the fender after a while?

unless you are running super crazy offset, this type of fender rolling will allow you to run up to 265 size tires on evo on 9-9.5" width wheels. anything bigger you will definitely warp the fender after awhile.

we can do it, but due to liability issues, we usually dont' do offer this service to anyone.

The reason being we don't cater this service is that, some customers are very meticulous about their cars.. when rolling fenders, uneven creases can happen. Therefore, we would prefer customers do it themselves that way we won't get chew up for doing a bad job.

sweetness...whats the gains over rolling then "trimming". I would think trimming(if done neatly) would yeild greater clearences then rollig no?

have Varis install their Super Taiku kit with custom rear rolling and repaint the whole rear quarter. I would love those rears also

to achieve that look on Varis super taikyu, will require some fender pulling. a lot of drift cars had it done that way as well..i will find out and report back shortly.

to pull the fender like the varis time attack car is somewhat impossible. That looks like some small fender flares molded on. .. then again i can be wrong too..
