MBC Removal

hello, i'm new to the evo scene and i just recently got a evo 8, only real aftermarket mod i see in it is the MBC. i would like to remove it and go back to stock, i brought it to the mitsubishi dealership earlier this morning and they said the boost solenoid is taken off as well. can somebody tell me what are the parts i need to put back in and how to do it as well? i have a few codes right now.. one of which is an overboost and a wastegate malfunction code, i'm thinking they have something to do with the MBC that was previously installed. but either way i still want to remove it and maybe in the future i'll use the AEM EBC.

You can't go wrong running the stock boost control on a lightly to mid modded car.

Of course you will have to get the solenoid and the hoses that connect to it. One of them has a pill in it so you just can't go to the AP store and buy it.

Search around there are plenty of tutorial posts on how to hook it up again. Worse comes to worse look for the ones where there are pictures posted of someone adding a MBC.

Just do the reverse of this, sorry no pictures but I did find this in about 30 seconds of searching:

Step 2) Remove the little door in the plastic undertray to gain access to vacuum lines.

Step 3) If you have a stock air box, pull out only the box section, if you are feeling adventurous, pull out the entire air box assembly.

Step 4) There is a boost solenoid located under the stock air box, it has 2 nipples on it, 1 vacuum lines goes far down, 1 vacuum line connects to the air intake pipe. Pull the vacuum lines off the solenoid and cap the solenoid with 2 little caps, if caps aren't provided cut a 2 inch long vacuum line and in the shape of the USA alphabet's letter "U" interconnect the solenoid nipples together to block them off. Pull the vacuum line off the intake pipe as well and cap the nipple on the intake pipe.

Step 4) Under the car, locate the BRASS nipple on the BRASS wastegate actuator. Remove the vacuum line of this nipple - this may require some extremely gentle assistance from pliers and/or pry bar. Be gentle, if you break the nipple a new actuator will most likely be required. Use the same method to remove the vacuum line off the BLACK pressure nipple which is located slightly above the BRASS nipple. Once removed, you should now be able to remove the stock boost vacuum line assembly, which should include 1 short line with stripes and 1 long line which has a "T" split. Discard or keep.

Step 5) Using the diagram attach the new vacuum lines; the flow originates at the BLACK pressure nipple, connects to the MBC, from the MBC it connects to the BRASS wastegate nipple. Please note that not all MBC's are set up this way, but using this diagram and basic skills of logical deduction one should be able to adapt it for almost any MBC install.

yes i know i can't get the parts from any AP.. i plan to get it from mitsubishi but i would just like to know what parts i'm asking for. so basically it's just 2 vacuum hose and a boost solenoid?

so one of the hose goes to the wastegate and where does the other hose go to(black pressure nipple)? which 2 nipples on the boost solenoid should go to?
