it is highly recommended to bleed the lifters unless you want a nice loud chatter coming from your head after the new cams are in.
just did my gsc's the other day, bled the lifters, and wal-la!!

how come some people say you have to bleed the lifters and some say it's not necessary to bleed them?

That is an awesome video. I will have this video playing next to me when I do my install. I will also bleed the lifters to stay off ticking. I was having doubts about doing this install myself but after watching this video I have a lot more confidence. I was debating about paying someone $400-$600 to install my cams, but now I can put that money to more mods. Knowledge is power.

I'm assuming that during this install you could also replace the cam gears quite easily if you did them one at a time by marking TDC on the belt and lining the new gears notch up with it?
