My defi oil pressure just died on me last month and it was installed at the location above the oil filter. So I e-mailed defi and they said that the location is what killed it. I should buy a new sensor and the some adaptor from tein usa to installed.

Sounds like BS to me, why would location of the sensor break it? For exmple for oil filter you can even mounter "upside down" (i.e flow from bottom). Anything to do with hot oil can usually function at any angle.

Just throwing this out there but yellow teflon tape is designed to handle oil and chemicals while the standard white stuff is for air fittings.
if you are going to use it get the yellow stuff.

The sender and gauge have to be the same -- the calibration is set for the gauge.

Bingo^^^
Using those cheap brass fittings is flirting with disaster even on a car with no bse kit, This is a very bad way to mount the sender.
It is not worth losing a motor over, Please people order the ams remote mount kit or make your own.
Trust me this is very bad!!!
The sender is heavy and the brass is cheap and weak and then add in heat cycles, vibration and boom you would prolly not even notice it before it did any damage.

the 42 draft design fitting is a good unit
due to vibration(i think) my oil pressure sender crapped out so ams remote line would be used
