Hey guys I just did everything and it looks fantastic! One problem occured though my turn signals don't work anymore? I put everything back together properly and check all my fuses but they have completely stopped working and the blinker blinks a lot faster then how it was. Any input would help thanks!

I had a pretty similar problem with my lights. The bulb in the amber stopped working for one of them. Some help here would be nice.

And when you guys put the headlights back in, did it sit flush with the bumper? Mine didn't; i think I may have bent the plastic thing that connects it back to the car =( any success stories in making it sit flush again?

I tried Easy Off and wow. Took it right off and never hurt the plastic even after sitting for 30 min. You do have to tape off the chrome you want to leave. In my case the blue tape held up but a little got through a crack and made a spot on the chrome. If I had to do it again, I would have left the chrome on the far left side alone so its above and below the amber lens and on the very bottom.

I did this to mine, but i had my own ideas. I used wax and grease remover(such as a prepaint cleaner) on the chrome, then used tail light tint. The chrome will show through slightly giving the black an extreme gloss. I like the look. Oh and +1 on reusing the old silicone, you don't need to get the old stuff off. Just set the 2 halves together and bake for a few minutes at 200 and press them together.

I used purple blaster on mine, ran out of patience using just sand paper. Good write up though.

Completed over the weekend. Very helpful writeup . One tip I would add, is that when you go to pry the lenses off the light base, don't just start at one end and pull apart. I did this with the first light and broke the lower, sunken in chrome piece that gets screwed in. Definitely slowly work your way around to prevent this from happening. But everything else turned out great.

For the love of god, make sure to seal those headlights up SUPER good...like way more sealant than you think you'll need.

I was indecisive about teal or red, after much thinking went with red since my car is rally red. Was a fun project.
