Clutch Pedal adjustment

Started with this info : http://www.socalevo.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2493

Some of it was wrong, for me anyway.

To take the plastic off under the steering wheel it was 2 phillips head screws and one 10mm bolt. and then 2 more phillips screws to get the hood release off. It did help a little taking that piece off.

the nut you have to losen to get the rod free was a 12mm not 10mm. It's a pain in the as to get in there to do it. Once you losen the nut you can turn the rod. If you push on the pedal a little bit it makes the rod turn a lot easier. I'm not sure what everyone needs to do as far as personal adjustment but:

Fewer threads on the end = Less play
More threads on the end = More play

Keep track of how many turns you do so you can go back to where you started from. Good luck

Why do you need to take off the plastic cover under the steering wheel? I can adjust my clutch without taking any panels off. I have an 03 if that makes any difference.

ok? there is no need to remove anything, ONLy tools i needed was a simple flashlight and a 12mm open end wrench and my thumb and index finger...

1.pull driver seat all the way back and lay so u can see under the dash
2.locate the clutch rod first thing, its very skinny with a 12mm locking nut.
3.loosen the 12mm locking nut with the 12mm wrench, once loose, u can use ur hands from here on.
4. turn the rod and u'll see the clutch start moving towards the ground or off the ground.
5. adjust as u wish, hold the rod with finger and lock the 12mm locking nut. done.
