Looking good! Love to see an evo being cared for. I'd post a pic too but I dont feel welcome in this thread. I'm second owner. For Canada it's impossible to be a first owner. We never got evo 8/9s!

Oh, C'mon!!! POST your pic!

You may be surprised to know that the exhaust system on my EVO is from ULTIMATE RACING (from Canada!!) The BEST stainless-steel piping I could load on that EVO, plug-and-play, zero worries, and a DEEP, GROWLY sound on idle and during acceleration, not sounding like a stupid tin-can ricer... thanks to their choice of a (pretty) large, terminal Magnaflow muffler on the back-end, which is very efficient cancelling most of high-frequency spectra of natural exhaust sound.

Cheers!

Heard of ultimate racing and their quality exhaust systems, I did not know they were Canadian. I'm in bad need myself as im still rocking the megan usdm version and it sticks so far out of the bumper lol. It currently has a full titanium custom downpipe extended with cat delete bolting right up to the ss pipe. You got me interested though, I checked on ultimate racing website but cant find the evo 8/9 version, I only see evo x's.

Looks gorgeous! My upcoming twin.

My friends/fam are funny. For that money you paid for Evo you can buy new CTR, new GR corolla blah blah. I said but I want a mint EVO 9 MR.

An Evo 9 is subjectively better than either of those cars, though warranties, etc are REALLY nice.
P.S. if you find an MR, make sure it has a 5spd swap! Then you'll be golden.

05 original owner - Electric Blue

Add me to the list. I am up to 106k miles and it is my daily driver. Was mostly stock until 2020 when my son turned 16 and I decided to put some money and time into mods and teaching him about cars.

original owner - 06 IX MR

Original owner of my 06 IX MR.
Bought it with 13 miles on it from Mitsu dealer, now has 24K ish.
Definitely not stock, but still have most of the oem parts in my attic.

Goodness, only 24k in 16 years. Guessing you are probably spending more time changing fluids than driving it. 😁 What do you end up getting it out for? You take it to car shows? Looks clean.

I just love driving mine too much to let it set, but to each his/her own. I also have an attic full of stock parts…lots of stock parts.

Original owner checking in! 69k miles 2006 WW Evo 9 MR. Used to be a daily where my commute was only 1.5 miles each way, now its used mostly for occasional weekend fun and as a backup car. Used to autocross and HDPE it now I'm just not into that stuff much anymore. My current hobby, mountain bikes are way cheaper and easier to work on, plus on a bike you can still pick those lines, apexes and get that seat of your pants rush.
