Yakima Roof Rack fitment on a 2003 EVO 8???

According to their site and to my call to customer service, the yakima rack says it only supports the 2005-2006 EVO. Now I am pretty sure that the roof geometry didn't change from 2003-2005, but I hate to buy a rack that won't work.

Anyone here have a roof rack for there 03, or 04 EVO?????

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I know you like racks. ;P

It shouldn't be a problem.

I need one for snowboarding season too. Let me know how it works out for you. =)

I saw some other threads of evo 8 owners with the rack so I went ahead and ordered.

Ill post some pics of my roof rack system to give you in idea. I love it so much

Only certain models had factory roof rack clips under the rubber in the roof gutters,

Give me a couple hours, Ill post my roof rack pics.

Ill never buy any other roof

rack system.

But that's if you got the steel roof model correct me IF I am wrong.

I know Yakima make roofs racks for the evo but they go throw between the window

frame and body but they work great just don't tighten it to tight u will damage the

paint on your car

All evos 2003-2006 same roof structure no differences even lancers, besides alumium

roof and steel on evos

steel roof has built in roof clips

my roof rack is made by Thule I love it

I LOVE IT

HOPE YOU LIKE IT

ITS A THULE ROOF RACK SYSTEM WITH SNOWBOARD/SKI HOLDER ON TOP

TAKE YOUR TIME DON'T WANNA SCRATCH IT UP

SO I WAX THE TOP OF THE ROOF OF MY CAR REALLY GOOD

I ALSO USE A PEACE OF CLEAR 3M TAPE LOW ADHESIVE

AND PLACE IT BETWEEN THE ROOF AND THE RUBBER PAD

STICKY SIDE FACING THE PAINT WILL BE EASY TO PULL OFF OF

SCENE YOU PUT ON THE WAX IT FIRST JUST TO BE SAFE

AND WHEN YOUR DONE WITH THE RACK, IF YOU GET ANY

SCRATCHES! JUST BUFF IT OFF SCENE U PUT A COAT OF

WAX BEFORE ! IF YOU REMEMBER
