Sleeping in the Evo
Lets face it. Insurance on an Evo is already ridiculously high. The last thing anyone wants is a DUI slapped on top of that, queuing up your "FS" thread. That being said, I'm curious as to who has slept in their evo overnight, how, for how long, what position, etc. I'm 6'3" and sleeping in it is not at all comfortable, but sometimes it's the right thing to do.
A few months back i slept in the back seat in a fetal position. I could only do it for 2h45m before the hump in the middle of the back seat was too much for me.
Last night, sparking the interest for this post, I slept in the front passenger seat lounged all the way back, but still I sould only do it for 3h. I have a throbbing muscle pain in my left ribcage because of it. Both times I was drunk enough to fall asleep within minutes, but cant stay asleep apparently for more than 3hrs.
Now my car smells like the strip club and jager =(

I slept in mine when I first got it. I was on my way to Chicago from Dallas, Texas and I was in like Kankakee, IL? or something when my fuel light came on at about 3 am. Took the first exit and all the gas stations were closed, so got back on the highway and took the next exit. Same fcking thing, they were all closed. I started to get pissed and once again got back on the highway and took the next exit. Same fookin thing. Took a piss somewhere outside, and slept in the car till the morning. I just reclined the seat all the way. Wasn't too comfortable...

THe only comfortable vehicles to sleep in are vans or suv's, any car even a sedan is just too cramped for anyone over 6'. And I slept in the passenger seat one night of drinking and I couldn't move when I woke up for a good 10 minutes.

Driving down to Texas last weekend I stopped at a truckstop and took an hour nap by just reclining the driver's seat back. I'm 6'3" and it wasn't the greatest but it worked.
P.S. I also have seat lowering brackets which I think helped.

Make a plan to find someone where to lay your head. LOL.
When my wife and I were dating (when we were teenagers) we used to hang out after I got off work...watch movies all night (She worked at a theater), screw in the car (This is a Civic hatchback and I'm 6' 4") hang out at a coffee shop until about 4-5am....I'd drop her home....park down the street and sleep in the car for a few hours until her mom left for work, and then sleep in her bed until lunch time.....I don't know how I ever held a job down.
God I was so young back then.

I fell aslep in my old car (vr6) after a night of drinking. Woke up several hrs later and went inside my house to sleep in my bed. Later that afternoon I realized not only did my car not want to start but it was because I fell asleep with it running and must have ran out of gas during.

Man...I miss those days! I used to do some crazy stuff like that too during my college years. I have no idea how I was able to function at work/school let alone stay alive. Now a wild night for me consists of working on cars while drinking Mt Dew or getting drunk while chatting with friends online

Same situation happened to me when I realized I was way too drunk to drive So I crashed in the back seat for a few hours. Although I am only 5'11 It was very uncomfortable. Only reason I was even considering driving is because in some states You can get a DUI for sleeping in a parked car. I decided that would be a better option then hurting myself or someone else

What a retarded law, its like that here in MN too. If you and your keys are nearby to the car (inside or out) you can get a DUI. I don't see what the harm of someone sitting/sleeping in their car while sobering up could possibly be as long as they're legally parked. I fully believe changing this law would prevent at least some drunk driving.
