I can't even begin to tell you how many times that I was a victim of that assumption when I was younger. The car is *probably* fine, but I would take it over to Mitsu to check as everyone else has said.

LMAO! This turned out to be a pretty goood thread.

Edit: Though the mitsu stuff takes abuse pretty good - I've seen honda owners make holes in their hoods by closing them like that.
So if that's all that was wrong with the car, be happy you have an evo and enjoy it

+1
My buddy pushes his hood down and I can see it dents in then pops back out. If you drop it, it's better.
Only reason why there would be holes is because the locks themselves are more out then they're supposed to be. Modern Hondas and in general cars today won't have them problem. My cousin owns a CRX and has a dent because of the hood being slammed back into place.

The best part is it wasn't even "your " EVO at the time of the offense! If you call it that. If it bothered you that much you should have walked away...spend your money with those that treat you with respect, thats the American- Capitalist way.
Could have gone to another dealer and have them get the car for you if that "was the only one " available. Next time do yourself and eveyone a favor and walk away--that keeps dealerships like that one from surviving.

Yeah--Look all around this forum and you'll see Evo's "treated carefully." I hope you never see an Evo get launched. You'll probably have a heart attack.

This thread makes me laugh.
Is this a troll, or is this serious?
+1 agreeing with the others: hood should be the least of your worries. Check it out mechanically. If he slammed the hood and you had eyes, you'd see where it was damaged instantly from such treatment. Putting the hood down and pushing on it isn't exactly the best idea either, better to "drop" it from ~12 inches or so.

Placing it down and pushing on it is WRONG. It's aluminum, it bends and once it does, you can never get it back in shape. Drop it from a foot and it'll never ever take any damage from that.
