Coolant ratio
I purchased the gallon of coolant from RussellM. What are you using as the ratio of coolant to distilled water?
I'm assuming the Mitsu Coolant is straight coolant and not pre-mixed. I believe the capacity of the radiator is 6.3 qt. (a little over 1.5 gallons). I have 1 gallon of coolant (1qt. = 0.25 gallons or there are 4 qt. to1 gallon). I was thinking of putting in 3/4 of the coolant container which would equal to about 3 quarts. The rest would be topped off with distilled water which would give me a ratio of about 48% coolant vs 63% if I used the entire gallon.
So when I do this do I first fill up the coolant reservoir with coolant and then put the rest in the radiator; topping the radiator off with the water?
