I really like my stock turbo too, I love the spool and can't imagine it being later then what it is.

just got retuned yesterday at Tuning Technologies. Car 03 evo 8, 3" turbo back w/ ss O2 housing (ported wg passage), Evo 9 turbo (ported wg), 255 fuel pump, hks 272 cams, intake with k&N filter, Sun auto hyper force & ground, Greddy profect b ebc.
#'s 22.8 psi 91 oct. 320 awhp & 312 tq... 100 oct @ 25.4 psi 358 awhp & 339 tq. **could have gotten more but no head studs yet**
