Front driver side "click" from a stop and under acceleration

I figured someone might be able to help me on this one. My car only clicks one time when taking off fairly aggressively ( above 2500 rpm) and if I am in first or second gear rolling and punch it. Again, it is only one fairly loud click, then I never hear it again until I stop or punch it in a low gear. It also does not seem to make the noise all the time. I don't hear clicking or clunking at all when turning etc.. Seems kind of trivial, but I just wanted some opinions on what it could possibly be. It sounds like it is right behind the drivers side wheel when I hear it ( kind of behind the brakes). I also hear this noise if I am in first at a very slow speed and quickly pulse the gas pedal, it makes a click noise. Well, any help would be appreciated.
Stay safe,
Punisher

thanks, car is a 2003 with only 6100 miles ( not my daily driver) , but still under warranty, so I guess I will bring it in. I could swear it is right behind the driver wheel, but thanks for the quick post

Oh, can you tell me where to look for this motor mount, or can you not see it unless on a lift. Thanks

Do you have an electronic boost controller? Mine clicks, but thats because of the solenoid for the ebc.

no, I don't have an ebc. I do have al's boost controlling flash though. It almost sounds like a metal "ping" if I can describe it better. Again it only happens once then is o.k. until I stop or punch it in first or second. If I take off normal, no ping.... but a fairly agressive take off or low speed throttle jab gets a nice resounding ping, it's more of an annoyance than a problem I hope.

My guess is the clutch fork, i had a click noise when I took off and still have it with the new clutch. There are 2 springs on either side of the clutch fork and they don't have a seat for them to sit. This is my guess.

but how do you explain the noise when coming to a stop? motor mount sounds like a culprit but it could be drivetrain related such as the driveshaft or transaxle?

Sounds like suspension. Springs that settle when pulling off. Try twisting them
