this is what i have in place of the cat
I been considering doing that for a while now. Thanks for the link, I think I'm gonna go do the some time next week.

Looking back do you still think you needed both resonators? magniflow makes some crazy quiet mufflers that dont need much help.

no you dont need both resonators. most important is the muffler you are chooseing. just make sure you get the same oval muffler i got and dont get a round muffler.

before when i had my loud espelir exhaust i wanted to quiet it down so i added the resonator in plase of the cat and it did not do much it was still loud, so i just redid my hole exhaust and finally i have a quite exhaust.

I see what your trying to do. But in my opinion looks too hack and slash and not as clean as I would like it. I'm sure if you did a little more research you could of found another method to making your exhaust quiet.

It probably would have cost a little more but it would have been cleaner.

dont expect it to do much. cuz it wont. its not going to make a loud exhaust into a quite one.

Maybe it is the camera angle but it looks like the flange on the left the weld is broken and rather inconsistent and lumpy. It also doesn't seem to mate up to the pipe towards the top. The right doesn’t look much better as it approaches the bolt.

I'd like to commend you for having the balls to make the claims that you do...but claims without evidence won't get you very far.

Additionally, the shop that you had do your welding do a piss-poor job to say the least, they especially suck at doing flanges. Not a very professional job by any means.

I've also never understood why people do catbacks and not do the entire exhaust. It's true that you will still see some gains, but c'mon, if you're going to do it--do it right. Go from the exhaust manifold back! Otherwise you will still have [immediate] restriction in the flow. Keep in mind too that some vehicles require a certain amount of backpressure to function properly as well....

Do you know if your car if performing at optimum levels?

i have a helix downpipe. so yes i have my full exhaust all done. no cat.\
my exhaust is straight through. did you not see the pics of the muffler?
ebay's muffler is not 3" on the inside its neks down.
and i'm useing a magnaflow muffler.
the ebay exhaust will be loud. i had a espelir catback before this and it was way too loud.
my goal was to make a straight theough 3 inch exhaust that was quite and i did just that with a quality magnaflow muffler.
