That is a BFGoodrich Tire ad where the GForce Sport Tire won an award for "Best in Class High Performance: Dry. The Vishnu EVO was the car that won the award.

Supposedly those tires hold the record-G Force KD's ?
They make you think from the ad it was in an Evo

I'm pretty sure the suspension wasn't stock though

fyi stock Evo's have always held 0.90+ on the skidpad
the z06 and viper should have higher skidpad g's because of their WIDE ass tires...stock for stock that is
i doubt the Evo holds the record for G's though....doesn't the Saleen s7 TT make somethin like 5000 g's? and the ariel atom holds pretty high one too IIRC...
unless we're just comparing evo and c6z, in which the c6z should win the competition because it's running something like 325's on the rear stock vs. the Evo's 235

They don't use stock cars for these competitions.
Incidentally, most of the ads I have seen proclaiming this show a blue Supra.

I assure you, a formula one car on slicks will pull WAY more G's than 1.08 haha

It's the GForce "Sport" not the KD in the ad. I have the mag at home and can scan it later. I also have the tires on my EVO. I think it says that the award was won with the Vishnu evo in the small print but I'm not sure.

And i guess it's hard for me to believe the Z06 holds the record now with it's "high-tech" leaf spring suspension setup, though i do know the car has pretty effective handling charectoristics, so it's not TOO hard to believe that part.

I've seen stock MR's pull .95-.96 and regular evo's pull .92-.93 to think an evo pulled a .87 would be like saying it had equivalent g's of a celica gt-s and an rsx-s
your facts are inaccurate. sorry.

Good suspension only goes so far... In the sports car world, Evos have a high center of mass, lots of weight and relatively small tires.

Yeah in the Road and Track that just came out with the Evo - Cayman S comparison they said the Evo did .87 on the skidpad in stock form, and the Cayman S did .97.
Not sure how accurate they were, but that is the most recent test that i remember.

I've never EVER in my life seen an evo go so low before. this is typically the ball park i've read every car magazine test them at.
