Ah man, sux to hear that man. The extra weight from the chassis strengthening paid off and is safer than a regular Lancer in a rollover possibly.

Very sorry to hear that. Glad your wife is okay. I wonder if the over correction was because of the unexpectedly quick steering ratio?

Geez!! I'm glad she is ok!!!!! Wow, it must be those recaro seats and rigid chassis!! I cant imagine what she was thinking when she crashed your evo....."god, i'm dead i'm dead i'm dead"

BTW, if it's totalled, can I have your floormats?? j/k!!

I would think that it is possible to sue the city, county or state for not maintaining the road, creating a dangerous road hazard, and causing her to wreck. I hate it when I hit a rut in the road and the car jerks to one side all of a sudden. Ruts like that have caught me by surprise at night, and it scares the freaking hell out of me...

I know what you mean, funkey. 3 days after i spent 1500 bucks on new wheels, I ran over one of those steel plates on the road covering an uneven surface and bent two wheels on one side (since only one side of the car ran over it). I have 18" wheels and the panel was almost 3 inches higher than the road i was driving on.

I tried to pursue something but basically it's a privledge to drive and you are at risk when you drive. Kinda like when your car gets towed......they arent liable for anything because you gave up your rights by parking somewhere you cant park. If your car gets destroyed or they try to tow your car not knowing it's AWD and shred your transmission.......they ussually get away with it.

If it is totaled, find out how much it is to buy the car back, the parts alone will be worth it when you get another EVO. You can have a built motor ready and spare tranny. I'm sure those will be a hot item to sell once people start breaking stuff

Hope all is well.
Sorry to hear.

Post pics!!

Just wait till they try to find parts for that some*****..
It will be awhile before your car is done my freind.
Some insurance companies are working through the details of the PREMIUMS still..

Imagine trying to cost out the parts and labor on a car that has only been out two weeks!!

On the contrary, I actually had this happen to me by a towing company and they did tear up my AWD tranny... They paid for a new one... With the roadways, the division of motor vehicles is responsible for all public roadways and maintenance.. I've had to write many traffic accident reports because of road hazzards damaging vehicles and they are referred to the D.O.T...

Also, sorry to hear about ur wife, I hope she's alright.. I'm sure she's sore today... I know you're sore cause of the EVO... It can be replaced... She cannot...

I'm sorry man I'm so glad she's alright!

This car is dangerous to drive. Steering very sensitive and over bumpy roads could be tricky to handle. Please, if anybody let people drive their cars "warn them on the quick steering and stiff shocks". THe problem is that if you hit a bump and your hand move 3 inche your car will move 3foot. Shoot our insurnace is going to skyrocket
