Well honestly, I've changed it three times so far. The fluids looked normal.

My only questions is what are your mods and how much power are you making?
Currently have: Buschur TBE, high flow cat, Buschur MBC, boost guage, and dyno flash.

Have sitting in my room: Alchy kit, HKS 272's, Buschur FMIC, Buschur Lower/upper intercooler pipes, mini battery, and buschur intake.

I dont know what I am putting down, I am guessing maybe 30-40 whp over stock?

It's normal in the respect that most evo's have it. But it's caused by gummed up lifters.

haha you gave me the idea about the italian tune up, Gil gave me the idea about the Mystery Oil, credit for the lifter tap solution goes to you guys! Dude you have no idea how ANNOYING that tap was...especially for a car that costs 32K.

WOW, And I thought I had a lot of miles.

Anyway, My struts went to, I have 50,000 on my car. It was the front right, which makes sense as it is the part of the car that is on the bad part of the road and has teh weight over it. Mine went, and then shortly my rear right was going, but only cuz it was holding the hole side of the car up. Good to invest coilovers.

I had my Evo, 2 HOURS, cracked my windsheild from a truck.

Breaks were NEVER a problem, but put in Ferrodo pads

wow great post.. im very tempted to try the mystery oil. i cant stand the lifter noise. kinda strange that the mobil 1 would not clean the lifters out. we used to use neo 0 weight oil on older cars an it made a hugh diffrence. we used th on a 140k acura legend. the thing was so quiet. so im going to try this and report back
thanks for the info

Awsome post, gives me an idea what I have to look forward to when I purchase my Evo, as I am also a high mileage driver. Not quite that high...but =)

Lets us know how the Evo is doing in another 75000 miles! I hope strong!
