Picked my 03 up Brand new in april of 04 and replaced the clutch @ 12k.. im at 15700 now and the RRE clutch seems so much better... when i picked up my car it had 100 miles on it so i think thats one reason that the clutch went to soon.. too many testdrives by people who didnt know how to drive..!

03' March build date, took delivery May 03'. I pulled the clutch at 40k. It was slipping ever so slightly at 333whp and 317ft lbs on a Mustang Dyno. When it came out, it almost had the full friction material measure of a stock disc. Matter of fact, the disc almost looked new. It just didn't have enough clamp anymore.

My stock clutch lasted until about 25k only because I was upgrading it to an ACT due to my plans for power at the time. I have 300whp for almost the life of the car and I got it May 03, and the clutch lasted fine until I started beating on it before I got the ACT installed.

Some of these responses are unbelievable! My '03 with ~27K is still on it's stock clutch. I do some different types of racing occasionally as well. Maybe I just got lucky with a factory freak(i.e. a decent clutch.)

It's just a matter of driving it correctly.

I've done a couple of trips to the strip, plus a few autox's as well... still running strong.

I'm at:

28,500 miles -- still on stock clutch!

i got mine when it first landed here in may. i just hit 2 years

33,500 miles -- second clutch

30k my clutch is fine, only launched twice ever, but perfect, a little chatter when cold but i think that is due to poor oem flywheel surface, when it goes it will be replaced with exedy twin

'03 picked up 4/4/04 with 24k. About five track weekends and a auto-x and still on stock clutch and loving it.

If you drag race the clutch sux0rs
If you road race the clutch is great

You decide what you want to do.
