GT30 is a waste of time. All of the lag of a 35R without the top end. Not worth it. That's off topic though, PM if you want more input

I'd just like to point out that the GTX ir HTA3076 is a very fine alternative, almost FP Black spool territory, which isn't bad really. But if you're looking for FP green spool, then obviously this isn't the turbo for you.

The BBK-3B is also a very good option if MAPerformance decide to refund you your money.

simply not true.

the suby guys are all over the gtx3071. appears to do most things better. than EFR7163. spools faster, better tq. better high rpm power. over 500tq at 3500rpm.

dsm guys have been running the 3065 into the 9s for ages. plenty of 550whp setps around. it spools faster than 35r. PERIOD ..many have switched to 35r and noted the extra lag.

the gtx 3076 is the exception. its just way too much compressor wheel for the turbine. its at that point the 35 turbine is a must have.

You're not alone. I had two MAP EF2.5's fail back to back in less than 300 miles on a brand new built 2.0 motor. Now they are just sitting on the turbos and my money. My tuner installed a stock turbo on the same motor just to get it running and get it back to me, while he deals with MAP on getting my money back and it's holding up fine. I've been dealing with MAP and turbo issues for 4.5 months now. I picked the car up after the rebuild and turbo upgrade, and 250 miles into my trip home the first one fell apart. They rushed a second one to me, and after 300 miles it fell apart too. Now I'm just waiting.

I've never had car problems in my life up until now. My car has been gone since the end of January, and the majority of that is due to MAP.

I just installed my EF4 and the shaft snapped within 60 miles while tuning with Tscomp.

Just shipped it back and had to pay 200$ from Dubai to MN.

I made a video of the turbine wheel jumping around and hitting the exhaust housing by just shaking the turbo.

I guess I'll try to counter-balance things a bit by mentioning that my EF2's been running great since I got it in June 2012. I've got about 25k miles on it thus far, with probably 15 or so trackdays/autocrosses
