Here's a few more shots of the new housing which is now standard on all EVO 9 turbochargers.

So now all of the "stock frame" turbos that FP produces are no longer drop in? Looks like you have to buy an external wastegate, dump tube, and different o2 housing/downpipe?

So now FP makes a cast manifold and a cast stainless turbine housing, but doesn't make a cast o2 housing that recirculates the wastegate? Why not go all out and make the o2 housing too? I can't be that hard to make recirculated ones for the 3 inch and 3.55 inch turbine housing outlets...

So it looks like there won't be any exhaust options for awhile unless you make your own?

We are working with a fabricator to have an o2/exhaust option available very soon. You'll be able to either make your own or buy one from the fabricator we're working with. Once they have product ready we'll be posting it up on our website and facebook page so you can buy a bolt on solution.

Hi Michael. So, what are the benefits of this? And any negatives? (Like the housing is not twin scroll).

Thanks.

Less pumping loss due to friction with the divder wall lets the same nozzle area run at a lower drive pressure.
It is made from Nitronic alloy, it will last for about 10 years at full power and 1800F EGT.
I have had a black and a green on my own EVO9 with this housing for the last 6 months or so, can't tell the difference in response by driving it, but you can see a bit in the log if your datalogging is up to snuff. Basically drops back pressure and increases mass flow.
Direct from a discussion going on with Robert@FP the designer of the turbine housing.
