Yes, that is correct. Everything went so smoothly. Base map started and idled very very well. I was completly shocked. That is with the 750's in there and no idle tuning at first.

Did shiv max out the HKS kit at 390whp on his dyno?

I can't remember what hp it was.

I love EVO's. They make power so easily it's not even funny.

We are really excited about the car. We are hoping it will make 570whp.

That will still be using a lot of stock parts.

Consider me impressed......will be nice to see when a tuned dyno chart can be posted......
2things though
AFAIK, Dyno dynamics reads accurately, not low
and, could that pop have been something besides a blown ic, or pipe, like detonation perhaps, that's still possible on C16 right?

Call me a skeptic, but I fear that the engine is getting a lot of abuse to produce that kind of power. Seems like other tuners are considering safety and driveability as well. You can jack up the manual boost controller to get high power, but how will it last?

Don't get me wrong, those are some great results.

If you are worried about reliability then just run it at low boost 20psi on pump gas and you can 400whp all day long. It's all in the tuning.

It felt just like a hose popping off. It also did it on the way to the dyno. We are probably switching to t-bolt clamps like my car has.

Detonation wouldn't have caused a boost problem like we had.

FYI we made 440 whp on the 3037 turbo with our kit, on the stock airbox and intake. Preliminary results with the GT35 show that number will be easily beaten by a good amount.

440whp is pretty good. You guys are using a dyno dynamics right.

Hey do you guys have a dyno plot with the same axis for horsepower and torque so that the lines cross?

The only sheets I brought home were 494 and the pump gas one. I am going back to the dyno later this week and I will have the guy print some out where the line crosses.

I have to agree with CLeeEvo here, that is impressive power but for how long? Here in Sweden I know of a few more than comfortable that has got major engine failures when a stock rod just snapped. It has happened with a lot lower power levels than you are producing but on EVO6/6.5’s which has weaker rods than the 8, I have compared those rods side by side and the 8’s doesn’t look that much stronger to be honest. They have been using Autronic, Gems and MoTec management systems and those guys were no amateurs so I’m just saying be careful or it might get expensive when you need a new shortblock and stuff

I honestly doubt you will have problems with it. Many shops having been making big power on stock motors.

Well, I guess only time will tell. I know what I've seen and heard over here but not 100% comparable since they were EVO6's.
