I thought my pump had serious corrosion. Your customers pump looks even worse! Can't imagine how it was to take apart... Mine was a real PITA and took me 4-5 hours to take apart... Due to the corrosion...

if you take the pump off then you will need to bleed the system afterwards..

Hi I've been reading a lot of info about the ADC/AYC pump. I have a 2009 Ralliart and my ACD pump has stopped working a long time ago and I do want to rebuild it at some point. From what I gathered from various threads, the rebuild steps are as followed right?
1) Lift rear passenger corner and remove wheel and fender liners
2) Turn the car power on and see if you can hear the motor working, if there is no noise it means your motor is dead and you need a new pump assembly or repair your motor.
3) Remove pump and clamp the hydraulic lines?
4) Open pump and replace corroded parts with the new ones from the rebuilt kit
5) Plug in a 12v power to test the rebuilt pump?
6) Re-install the pump and now you have to bleed the ACD? which should probably be done by the dealer since they have the MUT tool?
Please correct my steps or add to it guys, I'm trying to understand the whole approach before I start attacking the job. Thanks.

Looks like I'll buy a rebuild kit and give it a go. For $130 and some labor it's worth it. Been running without for sometime. Did see a company offering a rebuild service but saving $700 can go towards tranny upgrade. Only fear I have is the 9 years worth of New England weather corrosion.
