Hey, I have 2006 Evo 9 which I mostly use for daily driving. For some reason, recently I've noticed a lot of driveline slop in the car. When I'm just driving at partial throttle and I let off the gas to slow down the car will jerk and bounce back and forth once or twice before engine braking. Same thing when I'm not on the gas and I give it some throttle, it will jerk and bounce back and forth before going. I already replaced my front lower engine mount with a Blox roller stopper. After installing it about a year and a half ago the car felt great but for some reason this slop is worse than ever. I was wondering if getting the Energy Suspension Rear Diff Bushing Kit will help get rid of this slop or is there anything else you can suggest. Thanks, Eryk.

AWD Motorsports 2pc Aluminum Driveshaft might eliminate that slop. Look it up, its a nice piece!

mine is the same but the acceleration factor is because my car was (i think) tuned very sensitively...i'm either off the throttle, or it's around 2-2.1k

I was wondering if this could be caused by a worn down transmission? It grinds 4th sometimes when I'm shifting into it quickly.

ive replaced my driveshaft bushings,front motor mount, and my rear diff bushings. the rear diff bushings made the biggest improvement. i still have the mustache bar and rear trailing arms to do. i would do the rear diff bushings as a first.

This could be nothing more than a sticky throttle plate. I noticed that when driving my Evo today I was being jerky. My throttle plate was sticking a little.

This is another one of those things that's very hard to trouble shoot without seeing the car.

It could be any number of bushings and/or mounts, damaged transmission, and a ton of other things. Even a sticking throttle plate like barneyb mentioned or a bad BOV.

I had a bad wheel bearing that was causing enough resistance to hinder the driveability. It would cause the car to bounce/lurch trying to drive in 1st gear. Also, noticed the car would slow down quickly once I got off the gas.

Is it normal to be able to rock the car back and forth while it is in gear with the engine off and ebrake down?

Could this possibly be from the fluids I'm using? I have Redline MT90/MTL blend in the transmission, Redline 75W90 GL5 in the transfer case and the original factory fluid in the rear diff.
