Im currently running IHK22's and find that the car misses sometimes when i turn it up to 25 PSi. Its fine when i put it on actuator pressure. I only just got the car recently and im told that the plugs have been gapped.
Im now looking into these NGK r7437-8 or some OEM ones.
My question is, do you have to specify a specific gap with either of these?

Now getting away from the what works on the VIII vs. IX argument, these are just plug gap settings that I have seen numerous Evo owners use on their cars by virtue of the boost levels they were running and by no means am I attempting to tell you this is what will 4 sure work on your set up. This is just my .02

yea
The nos brand works to. im 26psi on stock turbo as well. youd have more ps on a black.
i have the mods listed in my sig... i ran the 150dollar 1 step colder ngks for like 4 months before the fouled out. but before and since i've ran stock plugs from the dealer and they work great... gapped to .022/3 not one issue...
so far theyve put up with 31psi on a stock ix turbo, and 28 psi on a green... methanol... 110octane... and heavily enriched 91 with 2 large cans of 108turbo octane booster. which btw is the only booster i've found to actually effect knock just fyi
