metal vs. silicone intake tubes?

While it's true the stock box is capable of a certain HP rating, it doesn't mean there aren't any gains to be had when swapping it out on an average setup

Keep in mind I'm referring to the filter & intake tube, not just the tube or filter.

I'm talking about doing the tube and filter obviously, and i definitely saw stock turbo cars that were making great improvements with a priper intake. I haven't logged the pressure drop on mine, but I'm sure a smoother intake pipe will not hurt at 23psi...

with silicone intake tubes the sound of the turbo sucking the air is much quiter ?
