Supra vet, net to EVO

Hello all. Im a long time supra guy (1100+whp)that has just come over to the EVO. Initial thoughts is that its an AMAZING lil car. I have the 6262 on a 2.3 (k280/272)and my question is this:
I am seeing some very odd HP claims (mid 500's on 93 oct???) and 650 on e85. Is this accurate with this kind of setup? and with what boost level?

Forgive if this is the wrong forum.

You could make a bit more on E85 but that sounds about right for pump.

STM's evo on a 6262 on their dyno had 650 awhp and ran a 9.60 on e85. so i say that sounds about right

I'm expecting those numbers out of my FPBlack, (511hp on 92 octane 27psi and the break-in tune) the 6262 is a bit larger turbo, I would expect at least 700 out of the 6262/e85 on a car with carefully matched components.

My 1g AWD DSM pulled 722 @ 33psi out of the FP equivalent turbo, the fp3586 on e85.

High praise from someone who's owned a horsepower king. How do you feel the Evo compares to the Supra?

You're going to love the traction.

yes a 6262 on 92/93 can hit 600whp with the proper setup. I would say 550's no problem on pump.

Tough comparison. From the little time behind the wheel of the EVO i can say its a much more complete STREET car. My supra was a 3.4 with a 4718 turbo so it was only really built for straight line. EVO has nicer interior and much better handling.
The supra will always be my fav car but i can say so far that the EVO is possibly the most complete street package i have ever driven.

P.S. I also had a modded subaru wrx and can tell you thet there is NO comparison in handling, the EVO stomps it!! Can't wait to get to know
everyone and learn from ya'll!! It's like im starting all over again!

My friend has a single turbo 93or94. Sick car I always loved supras. My e46 was hpf stage2.5 and I used to walk them. And the Evo I feel IMO is a better street car all around. Unless you wanna hit 200mph! But none the less the supras are nasty cars. Very strong drivetrain and engine that can support allot of power. So no arguement from me! Thumbs up to u homie!!!

Unlike the Supra world, the Evo world isn't afraid of running a little boost on pump gas.

My car make 550whp on 93 and 630whp on Q16. I've ran up to 34psi on pump gas and 45psi on race gas. This was done for 2 years. My motor was just torn apart and looked perfect!

I honestly don't understand why the Supra guys are afraid to run higher boost on pump gas. The 4G63 and 2JZ have a lot of similarities, so I wouldn't see it being a problem.
