coils keep burning??? need help??

Ok so i have an evo ix and one morning i started the car and it had a huge misfire problem, checked the plugs two were bad so i replaced them. then i went to start the car and still have the misfire problem. so then i found out one of my coils was bad so i replaced them with the OKD coils, then i started the car again and one of the coils started to smoke and was really hot!!! so i think my engine wire harness might be messed up some where??

Are you running a Twin Power DLI, by chance? When mine bit the dust on my 8, it ended up being that; bypassed it and it stopped eating coils, until I replaced it. Faulty unit I'm assuming.

Of course, if you're not running one... nevermind

I had a coil imploded on me before. Found out it wasn't grounded properly. Check the harnesses to see if it's connected to the chassis or the block.
