haha.. thats funny.. ^ but just like Modena said, look at the inside of the housing and see if is scraped at all by the blades. Minimal shaft play is exactly that. I'm sure if you do a search you can check what the tolerance is for movement. Good luck, hope it works out for ya...

so i did some research and found out that for the most part, there are suppose to be some play as long as it does not touch the compressor housing it should be fine. does that sound correct??

Yea man definitely no problem at all. It also helps loving these cars and being so passionate about them. This is how the ct Dsm guys are we are usually all at one members house helping out with the cars we each cover one another with diferent skills. I'm good with motors/drivetrains then there's the few suspension guys or wiring n ecu teckies. Or whatever it's just enough help to help us not hate these things.

Yes given that once installed it doesn't smoke.

what do you mean by smoke? like smoke from the turbo itself or smoke from the exhaust?
