1) How many miles have been put on the block since the red was added?
2) what fuel was used?
3) How much boost is being run?

Awsome thread man. been wanted to do this for a while and u beat me to it..lol

100% from the factory bottom end. The head and oil pan have never been removed from the car. Headstuds were installed 1x1 method.

I was at about 460 whp (DLL) on the stock block and decided that it wasn't worth the risk to continue to push that power level on the stock block, especially road racing. I did a drop-in build at Buschur and am now making 460 whp (on BR's dyno) with peace of mind. I would have felt really stupid if I had blown the stock motor and cost myself an extra $4000-6000 on the rebuild just to say I was making X whp on the stock block.

Sparky, I'm running a stock tb, minus shaft seals. I might upgrade to a MilSpec 65mm in the future but it looks like I'm not in a need of one right now

Yes I'm also on a completely stock head. No port work, stock valvespring and retainers too. The only thing that has been done to my head are my HKS cams which are pretty conservative compared to a pair of S2s or Kelfords.

I'm also running a stock/unported 64mm Red. The turbo came from FP and went straight on the car without being touched.

There will be some changes being made over the next few weeks and we will find out how far this Red will go...or wont....

Mikey: I plan on getting my old-style Green reconfigured by FP to 64mm Red specs as soon as I get back paid by some tardy customers. Ditto, I'll also get a set of the 880 RC injectors on my next trip up to L.A. I want to pretty much upgrade to something similar to your current setup. I think that I'll do an ETS 6.00 inch IC and some Kelfords(or S2's) eventually, as well.

When do you plan on going to the track and seeing trap speeds to put the dyno numbers into better prospective?

Well you will have to use meth if you go 880s because the 880s on pump will die by 500. I would personally get a Red. The Red is a great all around turbo IMO. A ETS 6in FMIC is way to large! WTF. You going water cooled 6in? Not very streetable.

EVO8LTW: When you road race what is your maximum boost level? I assume that you road race on 93 octane pump gas, or do you run race gas at the track?

When my balls drop and pockets get deep enough to fix my Transfer case or Rear dif that I'll prob blow sky high. I have the worse luck with drivetrain in my car. I have only launched my car once and the tranny decided it was going to stay behind...

As far as dyno numbers, I'm not on a MD so my numbers are legit, if that's what you are trying to imply; but I will be at the track next year shooting for stock block 9s on my Red

If 880's are too dinky then I'll do the FIC Blue Max 1250's. Naw, I think that ETS does 6" cored air-t-air IC. Never enough intercooler. To make room, I'll just grind away on the inner surface of my front bumper. The 6" core oughta help me run 28 PSI on 91 with my VIII through the Red.

I'm implying all dyno's read differently and the only way you or anyone else would ever know your actual power is to see what the car traps. That is the true and only accurate universal dyno.
