BBK Full or HTA FP Green?
Ok guys I've been doing a lot of research on both turbos and there's too many mixed reviews so I'm gonna leave it up to guys to decide for me. My goal is in between 450whp & 500whp. It's my DD car and don't want nothing outrageous because I'm keeping the block stock. The reason for those two choices is because I want to have the same stock turbo spool. The FP Red might be a little laggy for my taste.
This is what I have on the car as of now,
AMS TBE with Vibrant Performance Metal Core Race Catalytic Converter
AMS IC
AMS LICP
AMS MBC
K&N cone filter
This is what I'm planing to have by spring/summer,
FP Green or BBK full
Kelford Cams 272/272 (springs & retainers)
Walbro Fuel Pump
1450cc Injectors (if I decide to go E85, most likely I will)
Mil.Spec or BR 65mm TB
BR or Map ported intake manifold
BR or Map ported exhaust manifold
PERRIN foam cone filter
Hallman Pro RX MBC
Synapse Synchronic DV
Spoolinup COP
Test Pipe
Speed Density conversion (maybe)
So let me know what you guys think. Would I be able to reach my goal? I would really appreciate all the help you guys could give me.

Have u ever been on an FPRED car? or any of the other turbos? I think you should find someone to give u a ride. If you dont plant to make 450whp and are gonna run E85 your best bet would be a stock turbo, around 480whp a BBK, around 500whp HTA Green, over that FPRED.

No I haven't but I would love to though. I really don't want to go over 450whp but I could do 480whp. I'm not planning on doing anything to the block. I wanna keep it stock. BBK sounds good so far!

You can also go with the MAP SST or Tomei ARMS that we offer and aka.ralliart15 has, there's been a couple cars making 480whp with matching torque and I have one thats made around 495whp on E85 of course, extremely quick spool too.
Here's a dynosheet of the TOmei vs OLD FP GREEN, notice the quicker spool-up and powerband that the Tomei has.

Well you got "liquid" who's on HTA GREEN, E85 and "schedies" who's on the BBK and Meth and up here is "diirks" dynosheet on the Tomei and E85. They all have different mods though which you need to look at carefully.

I do not regret my choice of the HTA green at all. The spool up is perfect, can handle the top end and is just an all around great turbo. My numbers are 470/420, last dyno was 450/390 but I made a few additions ported a few things and had to retune the MIVEC map up top, so I am expecting much better numbers, especially torque.
My mods are in my sig. PM me with any questions. You will not regret this choice!

You could get a bit more horses maybe 20-25 more with the help of some bigger cams...Kelford 272's, S2's or M2's.

Yeah, I went with a conservative cam to keep the idle tolerable. I know any cam can be tuned to make it reasonable, but I am very happy right around this number for now. I am saving up some money for a built 2.2L, spool up faster, handle more hp/tq and then we can see what this turbo can really do up high.

Do you have a dyno sheet you could share? I would like to see the power band

I do not have the new dyno sheet, I am going today or tomorrow to see what the final numbers are. Here was one of the preliminary graphs, if you want to see the updated one when I get it drop me a PM

cant find my BBK dyno sheet, but im sure its in a thread of mine somewhere, or under peteyturbo as he tuned my car.
even with the old style gsc 272 cams (very smooth idle compared to other cams out now) i love this turbo. awesome spool and still has much better top end than any stock turbo car. perfect for pump gas.
