For the real mechanic
Ok guys here is my story. I have an 03 evo 8. You name it and this car had it. The latest news is that the car's revolutions are going from 2000 to 4000 in gear like if i had in neutral. Same happens when i'm driving in the freeway at about 70 mph 3500 rpms, I try to speed up and it takes a while for the turbo to kick in, so it revs up like if it was in neutral then i drops back down and that is when the car's turbo kicks in. I don't know if its the turbo, the tranny or the clutch. I really wish it was just the turbo. Please help, it seems to be getting worse everyday.
A few tips that might help with the diagnostic:
Turbo wastegate code has been on for about 5 months and it's not letting the boost get past 15psi.
2nd gear has been grinding forever on high rpms.
Thanks a lot guys, i hope you can help me.

Your clutch is shot. Grinding at high RPM's is your synchro. Rebuild the trans and do the clutch at the same time.

Can't go wrong with either of these for tranny rebuilds:

Most are bolt on's. HDI intecooler with piping. 3 inch helix downpipe. 3 inch HKS catback. Cosworth headgasket, arp's, mishimito radiator, turbosmart external wastegate (to be done soon, maybe after the clutch) hks air intake.

Look into an Exedy or ACT. You don't need a twin disk or anything with your close to stock setup. Do a search for the clutches to find out more info. Youll find varying opinions on them.

No. Do it right the first time and buy a new one.
