Throwout bearing removal

I just want to clarify in case I actually didn't remove the TOB. When you pry the TOB away, should the clutch fork easily engage from position A to B? Before this, I had to use force to slide the clutch fork over, so think i did it right. It started getting dark when I did it and using the flashlight, it "looks" seperated. Thanks.

Are u pulling the tranny? U will know when it happens. It is tricky, but once u get it will travel a lot farther from the pressure plate and u will be able to see the inner ring that locks will be exposed.

It's a pain in the a$$ the first time doing it, but once you get a better understanding how it all comes apart/goes together it becomes easier. Going to a twin/triple with a HRB makes that part of the job a whole lot easier

Thanks, from the sounds of it I got it then. The first time I took out the trans I didn't release the bearing before trying to separate, so want to make sure this go around. Just waiting for it to get lighter before going out and having some fun.
