I know this subject isn't super interesting but it's part of figuring out what works and only selling parts that work, it's what we do.

With that said, I want to just update this. Today I got all the parts needed to finish the regulator on the badbish. The fitment is freaking sweet, entire kit came out just killer.

Put the car back on the dyno and tuned it, once again logging fuel pressure.

We used an SX regulator with -6 ports. We used the factory return line.

There was NO difference in using the SX regulator and the factory regulator, unfortunately. I was hoping for some improvements and a new product to sell but the truth is, there was no difference.

I will be re-installing the factory regulator on the car the next time it's apart.

Test done.

that right there is just plain honesty. i think it's been said plenty of times before, but david's no nonsense and honest approach to things is one of the reasons people appreciate his contributions purchase his products.

mind you there's absolutely no nutswinging on my part here.

i believe that you have come to the conclusion that the stock fuel pressure regulator was more than sufficient for most everyone's applications and have stated as much on multiple occasions. where i find value is that you continue to retest your conclusions with new ideas rather than sit impassively.

thank you for the effort!

the fuel press regulator is as good as the return line, try a larger return line with the sx and maybe the kick in spikes will go.

Not changing the return line, not messing with a good car and putting that crap on it. The entire idea behind the double pumper and our kit is to keep from hacking up a perfectly good EVO. The initial "on spike" of the fuel pressure isn't hurting anything and the rest of the run the pressure is idea. I do agree with you and already considered it but changing the return line is not an option, it defeats the purpose for me.

For reference the return line is only 1/4".
