no it doesnt, the thicker the oil the more chance to starve the turbo bearings from oil you have, the oil pasages on the turbo are small therfore using a 20W50 is just looking for trouble, you dont see the effects now but soon you will by starving an engine and turbo

He has GSC2s, E85, and probably a few other things done to his car.

Thanks apagan. I just let people go with the old way of thinking, unless I know them personally. I smile on the inside, when they argue.

The maker recommends 20W-40 for hot weather. Anyone using it? Has anyone ever seen 20W-40?

I see your thinking but don't the heat of the Turbo break down the viscosity??? If what you are saying is that thinner oil is better for a Turbo, then why are most engine builders running 15 or 20w-50??? Why are they not pushing 0w-20???
I had always ran 5w-30 then I switched to SSO 0w-30, then to Dominator 10-30, and now that I have the FP Red, I switched to 10w-40 and it take a while to heat up. Now, my car feels like it don't want to go, untill it is warmed up.
When I talked to a rep at Amsoil they told me to run Dominator 5w-20
