Exhaust manifold help
i've been looking into a megan racing exhaust manifold for my gg evo 9.
although they look really pretty i've heard the welds crack very often.
i could get a MEGAN manifold for 225 shipped.
but than again i'd rather keep the stock look under the hood, as i am on a quest for 400awhp on my stock evo 9 turbo.
Buschur ports and jet coats for what is it like 230? whatever it is anyway.
what im askin is it it just better to have the stock manifold ported and jet coated? or should i go with the megan?
another problem is with buschur u have to send ur manifold to them and then they send u the ported and jet coated one my main concern is i will be out of a car untill the manifold comes in the mail..
any suggestions? you know any other places that port and jet/ ceramic coat exhaust manifolds that can send me the manifold first and than i can send them my manifold and get a core refund?..

RRE has a cast tubular manifold for aftermarket turbos which is pretty nice.

i have heard numerous stories of the megan just completely sucking.
Usually stock frame turbo then just stick with the manifold and get it ported and and jet coated.

I bought a ported Buschur Manifold that was heat coated black from Mike @AWD Motorsports. I think they run a little over 200$ and looks damn good.

You could buy the BR unit, get the core charge, and then send in your core (after you install it) and get a refund...

"A core is not provided for this service. This process is done on an exchange policy only. If you can not supply a core a $350 core fee is in effect for this process"

Just buy a used one from the vendor used section/private section, probably around 70$, send it in as a core, get the new one and take yours off and sell it to get your money back. You'll lose what you paid for shipping, thats about it.

www.performancecoatings.com they will do the ceramic coating for a LOT cheaper than what you guys are paying. I think my o2 housing was like $35 or 40 which is pretty good if you think about it was cleaned, blasted, etc before coating. My manifold goes in when I get it back from Buschurs.

I picked up a stock manifold in the for sale section for $40 shipped. You can do this and eliminate any down time.
