Normal extract
You know the design of the vent is very well intergrated with flat and wide nose of the evo. Not only does it create minimal drag but it also decreases under bonnet lift pressure-- while s imultaneously extracting heat.

I read a tech volume somewhere that said the air leaving the vents is directed to the windsheild to keep the airflow from fully detaching (through turbulence) and actually reduces the overall coefficient of friction for the car. Cool! (if it's true)
On another note, the heat wave thing sounds like a cool picture waiting to happen... I'm surprised I haven't seen on posted up...

It's normal. Since I noticed you lived in Colorado, the temp gauge is in celcius, NOT fahrenheit as we are used to in the states. So even showing 70 on the gauge is 158 degress fahrenheit which is hotter then any day you go out to drive.

It is pretty cool looking, especially when it's cold outside.

I think he actually won or was the runner up in some kind of hemi challenge or something.

The first time I saw the heat wave, it didn't bother me too much. I figured it got pretty hot in there. What got me was the orange ominous glow from the manifold at night.
