Stock Rear o2 Sensor. WHERE DOES IT GO

This is probably the noobest Question ill ever ask. But i bought the car with a Aftermarket Exhaust on the car.


I got a stock Catback off a 2003 , And a picked up a stock Cat. Now my question is.... Where the hell is the rear o2 supposed to go , i know its supposed to go after the cat. But there is no bung in the catback so im dead confused. ill just end up welding a bung in for the o2 sensor. But id still be nice to know where its supposed to go on a stock evo. ( My car is a 2005 , i dont believe that would make a diffrence on a catback. )


I swear i saw some pictures of the o2 Sensor IN the cat.

The catback you bought must have been from an IX. On an IX the O2 sensor is in the cat whereas on an VIII the sensor screws into a bung welded into the midpipe.

Yeah , But the thing is i know for a fact this exhaust was off a 2004 Evo. Because i took the car in on trade and he traded the exhaust w/ the car. I guess the only explination would be HE bought a IX Stock exhaust for the car for some reason.

Either way im going to weld one in. Just wanted to make sure i wasnt losing my mind.
