I dont think thats the case with my car, im pretty sure a few of the lifters are on their way out, and i was told the same by a few profesionals, and I did alot of research on issues with lifters and what a car acts like when you do have collasped lifters. I'm almost a hundred percent sure the stock lifters on my car are trashed.

Just replaced with stock mitsu lifters.. They do get stuck now and again..

I would go with JAM's. I even broke a timing belt and bent every valve with all but 2 of the JAM lifters still being ok.

JAM lifters work excellent with HKS Cams.


I have obnoxious tapping with the stock lifters, even after bleeding them on the initial install and then re bleeding them again after.

We've got them on special now, too

They work very well with the more aggressive cams. The extra travel and faster response time keep the geometry in line.

i have a set of stock lifters with 30k on them if your interested... i replaced with JAM.
excellent company with great customer support.
imo its worth the small price for the peice of mind you get.
the JAM big bore lifters are beautiful
