Guys, last night my car had problems boosting pass 10psi, it would aslo backfire. Today, I switched my spark plugs and it boosting at 21psi again.
Might not be the problem but easy enough to try first.

I was running the BPR7ES but I guess it was due for them to be changed out.

Yeah, I'm having similar issues, I'm maxing out at 15/16psi sometimes 17 pounds. No audible leaks, but I suppose a boost leak test is in order, although I have been having similar, albeit less drastic, symptoms as Scarface2jz..... slight rattling in the exhaust and I did hear a slight pop 2-3 weeks ago prior to it dropping in psi.

But the thing is it spools up just fine and reaches ~15psi no problem, just levels off there though.

Honestly I hope it is the exhaust, it'll just give me another excuse to replace the stock unit lol...

Any recommendations on pressure testers?

Bump for answers seems everyones having problems including me. Im hitting a massive 14psi and have checked everything. Only thing I found was a crack in my manifold however its been there since I got my evo so I doubt this is my problem.

are you guys running cat's? if so thats the first place to check. those things like to blow up and clog the exhaust causing symptoms like described.

Boost leak check, it could be ur Tb Shaft Seals... I lost 6 psi from a bad leak from there..

Unfortunately im catless running a test pipe. I found a crack in my manifold halfway around the #4 runner which is prob causing some of my problem. However I don't think its causing all my problem. I wont know for sure until I get it swapped back to the stock one.
