Fp Red, 30R or 35R?
Hey guys....
Planning to do an upgrade and thinking to go on a bigger setup,Almost every1 is recommending me to go for a Fp Red and not the GT series turbo kit for my car which i use as my second car but do drive it quite regularly.
My question is Why should i opt for an Red and put supporting along with it and make 400-450Whp, if the 35R kit cost as much
Which setup would people recommend if im looking for 450whp and run it 11 seconds.

red is the only turbo i would use for 450whp and 11's.. 30r is a waste of time and 35r is for 550+whp..

FP RED, if thats all what your looking for. people are making near 500whp just on pump gas
plus, you use your stock manifold, and gives it the sleeperish look.

FP RED should satisfy you if your car is more street oriented. If you running 10's on race gas breaking drive train parts and are more Race Track oriented, go with a 35R or bigger.
Red is a dominant "Street Turbo"

Im running an FP red with a full buschur build and its great to drive around town. 464 whp on 93 and minimal lag. I havent gotten it out to the track yet, but its coming soon.

I say do the 35R, it'll give you ~ 500awhp now and more later with additional mods

Bang for the buck = Red
Money no object = HTA35R w/ supporting mods so you have room to grow later as Mellon said.

464whp on pump is pretty dang good with the Red. At what boost level was this done at if I may ask? I, too, like the OP am struggling to decide between the Red and HTA35r. It's tough...in a good way though. With the right combination of parts, the Red shines.

If it's more of a daily driver..FP RED
If it's more of a occassional drive..35R
FP RED will get you to where you want to be, but soon as you're there you will want more. Like others have previously said, 35R will also get you there, and then more mods can be added to that to gain even more. Good Luck with the decision.

+1 You will spend the same to get there anyways in the end. Only you will ultimately have more on tap with a 35R.

Im still confused to exactly what to get?...im running a stock turbo with a few mods like hks intake, hks carbon ti exhaust, exedy twin plate clutch and the car has forged internals i.e piston, rods.
What mods would i need furthur before i can run a good powerful setup with the Fp red? Or a Gt 35R?
Keeping in mind i have a budget to which i can spend upto.
Thanks

i was interested in the 30r also but since the red ive gotten pushed away from the 30r as its becoming less productive because of the reds release. Think about it, where else can you purchase a turbo for 1800 bucks and slap it on a stock manni and run 450hp?? (supporting mods of course).
the 35r like was stated above would be more of an occasional drive, the red would be street, track, anything and you can be ball park of a 35r without the lag.
my vote is the red. its unbeleiveable how much power they make. and for the price you cant go wrong.

I also think if you want a 450whp car and probably not more, get the Red. Most people are more than happy with it. If you think you want more later on, get the 35R.
